The prize structure for The Joker Sit & Go Tournaments is as novel as the tournament format, with 50% of the prize pool going to the 1st place winner, while 30% of it goes not to the runner-up but to the 5th place finisher, and the remaining 20% going not to the 3rd place finisher but to the player in 9th place.

World Cup Million Dollar ChallengeOn June 9 bwin Poker launched a promotion that will run through July 11 called the World Cup $1,000,000 Challenge.

To participate in the bwin Poker World Cup Million Dollar Challenge, you simply need to acquire betting tokens during the promotional period and then use those tokens to accurately guess the results of the various matches in the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg South Africa, which just started on Friday, June 11 and runs through Sunday, July 11.

World renowned racers like Marco Melandri, Colin Edwards, Alvaro Bautista, Mika Kallio and Randy de Puniet were invited aboard the bwin Poker Yacht and represented several Motor companies like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Pramac.

These five MotoGP stars who may be participating in the upcoming Gran Premio bwin de España, sat down at the poker table to try their luck at cards. bwin has been one of the official sponsors of the MotoGP for the past six years and hosted this little game aboard the yacht a few days before the race.

These players took jet skis up to the yacht which was in the Puerto Sherry region and an exciting game of poker was started. The game, which was a bout of Texas Hold’em, was won by Colin Edwards from the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team, who proved he was just as good at poker as he was at winning on the race track.

Can you remember when we were little kids and became excited each and every Easter when it was finally time to go and search (and subsequently eat) the Easter eggs our parents carefully hid before? It will take place on the 4th of April at 21:00 (GMT +1) and is called the $10,000 Easter Egg Hunt. You can find the tournament in the lobby of bwin Poker by going the the scheduled tournaments. You can register for a buy in of $10+$1. So far so good and still nothing weird about it, right? Well, here it comes:

While you will fight for each and every final position that you can gain in a regular tournament, the pay out structure of the $10,000 Easter Egg Hunt tournament is somewhat different. As in all other poker tournaments the winner will of course get the highest amount of prize money ($1,950) – places 2 to 10 however will only receive $50. If you finish eleventh you will be rewarded with an Easter egg in the form of $1,240! This structure goes on until a finishing position of 161 which will still earn you $80. To make it short: Every tenth position will receive such an Easter egg while all the positions between will earn between $15 and $50.

What is a Final Table Sit ‘n Go?

Final Table Sit ‘n Gos will only be found for No Limit Texas Hold’em. These new tourneys allow you to skip through the hours of playing and just start at the final table.

If you’ve ever played a final table you know what to do, this new game is going to make things more exciting because when you play in a regular Sit ‘n Go you have time to get to know how your other players play the game while the stakes are still small.

Now that you’re not going to have that time to figure out a players style it’s going to mean larger risks and more surprises in the game.

How to Play bwin’s Final Table Sit ‘n Gos

There are going to be different Final Table Sit ‘n Gos offered. There will be shorthanded and regular games plus turbos. The shorthanded games will have a limit of 5 players and the regular game will have 10 players.

Each player will start out with 400,000 in chips and blinds will increase every three minutes in a turbo and every fifteen in a regular game. Blinds will start out at 5,000/10,000 plus a 1,000 ante, and the top three players will win in a regular tourney and the top two players will win in a shorthanded game.
