Snowball Into Big Winnings At partypoker With September Snowball Promo

Snowball partypoker partypoker is holding a new promotion this September called the Snowball, with every player participating able to win up to 15 prizes each.

Prizes in the partypoker Snowball promotion include cash, as much as $5,000, and freeroll entries, valued as high as $100,000. With the Snowball promotion, the more momentum you gain, the more prizes you can win, and the faster and easier it is for you to win subsequent prizes. Hence the name Snowball.

Between September 1 and 30 just play in as many real money games at partypoker cash and tournament tables as you can, racking up as many PartyPoints as you can before the promotional period’s end.

In some promotions, every time you pass a hurdle from one level into the next, you give up the preceding prize to advance to a better prize, but here the prizes snowball one on top of the other, with partypoker only adding and never taking away from your kitty of prizes as you progress up and up toward the top prize level of $1,500 and $50,000 in freeroll tournament entries for all players earning at least 50,000 PartyPoints.

Players from Bronze to Palladium Elite status will find something for them in the Snowball promotion, with each level player able to strive for prizes typically a bit out of their price range (or prize range, as the case may be).

Either way it’s a cause to celebrate, and celebrate PKR Poker is doing indeed, with, among other player bonuses in honour of the occasion, $10,000 in Premium Freeroll tournaments and a huge poker software overhaul.

Version 2.0 of the PKR Poker software includes enhancements and additional implementations of the site’s unique 3-dimensional interface, now offering body language with player avatars that includes facial expressions, chip tricks, and oddly enough, poker tells.

Grand Series of Poker 5 bwin Poker has announced the 5th installment of its beloved Grand Series of Poker, along with the lower stakes but equally anticipated Mini Grand Series of Poker.

The GSOP 5 is a 15-day long online poker marathon with a total guaranteed prize pool up for grabs of $2.5 million. Of the 15 main events in the bwin Poker Grand Series of Poker 5 is the Grand Slam, a deepstack event boasting a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000.

bwin Poker is now hosting a wide range of Daily Qualifiers and Last Chance Qualifiers for the various main events in GSOP 5 with separate Grand Slam Qualifiers and Leaderboard Qualifiers (also for the Grand Slam deepstack tournament).

In terms of the leaderboard, bwin Poker will be tracking players’ progress throughout the event, and the player who earns the most points calculated by a careful formula gets a free Grand Slam ticket. Celeb Poker 2010 Power Poker Championship For one week, Celeb Poker is holding satellite tournaments into the Power Poker Championship coming up on September 9 through 12 at the Grand Casino Portoroz, in Portoroz, Slovenia.

Starting August 18, 2010 Celeb Poker is hosting Super Satellite tournaments daily with €40 + €4 buy-ins. These are all rebuy and add-on events, all of which start at 19:35. Celeb Poker is also hosting multiple satellite daily into the Super Satellites. Rebuys are €20 for 2,000 in chips and add-ons are €20 for 2,000 in chips.

The Celeb Poker 2010 Power Poker Championship prize packages are worth €1,350 and include the €500 + €50 entry into the Power Poker Championship Main Event, €545 to use for flights and spending money, €240 to use for a 4 night stay at The Lucija Hotel the 9th through the 13th, and €15 for fees.

The first of the Super Satellites took place last Thursday, on August 19. The last Super Satellite takes place tonight, Thursday August 26.

The Power Poker Championship satellite promotion is being hosted by the iPoker Network, parent network of Celeb Poker, and with flagship site Titan Poker.

bwin Poker & partypoker Merge

Party Gaming bwin Merge For those of you who have been following the story since early in the year, it may not come as much of a surprise, but to the rest of us, this could be news that shakes up the whole online poker balance of power, as two of the world’s leading poker sites, bwin Poker (#5) and partypoker (#3), have finally officially merged, according to a press release dated July 29, 2010.

In that same press release, it was asserted that the new bwin Poker/partypoker combination will surpass the top two sites (which shall remain nameless) and take the top spot of number one poker site in the world. Only time will tell whether those claims can be met.

Based on traffic numbers, it looks as though the bwin Poker/partypoker merger will essentially double both sites player pools, with bwin Poker get slightly the better end of the deal (having slightly fewer players to start with). In all, the post-merger poker room should have close to 6,000 daily players. Currently, the merged sites joint network is valued near $3 billion. All it would take would be a re-entry into the United States online poker market, where most poker sites get 50% of their traffic, for partypoker and bwin Poker to fulfil their claim of market superiority.

What can bwin Poker and partypoker players expect to get out of this deal? Expect twice as many fish in the online poker sea, more big money promotions, now cross-platform, most likely with bigger prize pools too.

Party Gaming, which is based in Gibraltar, and bwin Poker, which is based in Vienna, Austria, are still currently running their separate sites, and members of either site will not yet be automatically admitted entry to the other, soon-to-be sister site (although that seems imminent).

Qualify For PKR Live V Now

Starting August 19th, the PKR Poker satellite tournaments into the fifth PKR Live weekend (PKR Live V or PKR Live 5, depending on where you look). The weekend will feature two key events: the two-day Main Event and the Sunday Terminator Bounty.

PKR Poker Live 5 The PKR Live V Main Event will be standard No Limit Hold’em, while the Terminator Bounty adds the extra twist of a $50 bounty on each player’s head, giving everyone a chance to win, regardless of who wins the whole event.

The qualifier structure for winning free seats in the Main Event and/or the Terminator event starts with a $4.95 + $0.49 Stage 1 qualifier, happening 7 times daily and qualifying 1 in 6 players for Stage 2. The Stage 2 event has a $27 + $2.70 direct buy-in, takes place 3 times daily, and qualifies 1 in 6 players for the third and Final Stage.

The Final Stage of PKR Live 5 qualifiers are $150 + $12 direct buy-in events that give players a choice of which prize package to vie for. Five times weekly, the Final Stage satellite will qualify 1 in 8 players for $1,200 prize packages that include Main Event and Terminator seats, plus $500 in spending cash. Two times weekly, the Final Stage satellite will qualify 1 player for every $700 in the prize pool for a package of Main Event and Terminator seats without the $500 for expenses.

The PKR Live V event is being held in London’s Loose Cannon Club for the first time since the tournament’s inception. The dates are November 12th through November 14th.

The weekend will also feature a host of side games with endless banter on the rails and at the bar.

Playing online poker at partypoker has never been as rewarding, now that the site has introduced a bevy of new features to its poker software. The newest round of upgrades to the partypoker software includes improvements to the partypoker lobby, the poker tables, and multi-tabling functionality.

The lobby improvements make it easier than ever before to find exactly the table you’re looking for, adding a convenient Favorites Area for storing your most preferred tables and an easy-to-use Quick Search tool to find new ones to enjoy. You can now preview what the action is like at a table you’re considering sitting in at before you actually do sit in. Then, once you’ve found the game you want to join, you can use the Quick Seat feature of the partypoker client to get in on the action at any partypoker table within a matter of seconds. The Quick Seat search feature even works in Multi-tabling mode.

The poker table improvements include personalisable player avatars, even allowing players to upload their own images to partypoker, a better action area that makes placing bets a lot more simple and straightforward, and all your features bundled together in the same area of the display instead of all spread out and hard to use.

The multi-tabling improvements now include the ability to open and join other tables directly from within the table at which you’re still seated. There’s also a new lobby preference specifically for multi-tablers, and a convenient Open Table button. Viewing options for your multiple tables on partypoker just expanded, with the new cascading view and tiling view options. You can now easily resize your tables manually for easiest viewability, and you can set a default table size to make it all automatic. You can also sort your tables directly onscreen by game type or average pot size or any custom order you wish to set.
